Robert Joseph Tabish 1967 ~ 2010 Beloved husband, son, brother, uncle and best friend. Robert passed away on August 12, 2010 after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by his loved ones. Rob was born on August 22, 1967 to Norman and Barbara Tabish. He was the baby of our family, we found great joy in raising him and helping him to grow to become the amazing individual he was. Graduated from South High and later went on to SLCC to obtain a certification in Mechanics. He worked as a mechanic at numerous shops until he worked at Sandy City for 16 years where he was a Crew Leader. Rob enjoyed his job very much and made many lifelong friends. Rob met his soul mate, Ginny Marcelis in 1991 at a Scorpion Concert. They married, finally, on June 1, 2001. They were blessed with a handsome son, Tyler Anthony Tabish ("TT") who was born on July 25, 2004. Rob and Ginny enjoyed life to the fullest. They did many camp trips to Moab with family and friends where they enjoyed going off road with his dune buggy and motorcycles. One of Robs' passions was building dune buggies. One was featured in the Sand Sport magazine. For the past two years, Tyler has raced motorcycles and won many trophies. He was a handy man, with an ability to fix anything from plumbing to electrical, never needing a repair man. His mechanical ability exceeded even the best. He was a perfectionist. He was such a kind and generous man, if you needed a good laugh you could count on Rob. Rob is back in the loving arms of his mother, Barbara, who preceded him in death, December 2006. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Ginny and son Tyler. Dad: Norman, Sisters: Karen (Pete Black) Tabish, Janet (Steve) Raineri, Brother: Ken, and nine nieces and nephews: Nicole, Travis, Eliza, Michael, Kalani, Andy, Antonio, Romeo, and Dakari. Special thanks to: Ted Ketten, and all the employees of Sandy City, Boyd and Amie Thaxton who greatly supported Rob, Ginny and family during this difficult time. We do not know what we would have done without all this support. Rob loved each and every one of you. Thanks to the staff of Avalon Care Center, they are angels here on earth. Viewing and rosary will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday 16th at Redwood Memorial 6500 South Redwood Road, Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday 17th at St. Patricks Church 1058 West 400 South. In lieu of flowers a special account has been set up for Tyler in the name of Robert Tabish at any Zions Bank.
